The Aperol Spritz Index
We believe that the refreshing summer drink is best enjoyed during an exciting city trip, and we searched for the cities with the best Aperol score. For this, 19 European countries that use the Euro were examined based on their capital and two of their largest cities regarding their Aperol prices.
For the price determination, the prices from up to three establishments were selected in each city based on the Tripadvisor categories of restaurants, bars, and pubs. Therefore, only establishments that had a menu with prices available online could be considered.
A dedicated Aperol Spritz bar? Here's where to find it!
Developed in Italy, you can experience Aperol here in a very special way: both Milan and Venice have dedicated a bar to the vibrant trend drink, where you can enjoy the drink along with small snacks.
In larger Italian cities, take-away Aperol is also very popular. Who wouldn't like to take a refreshing Aperol to the next river or fountain to relax and watch the water play? For example, in Naples, you can get Aperol Spritz to go from small stands for just €1.
Finland is on average twice as expensive as Slovenia
But how does it look in other countries? You can particularly enjoy the popular Aperol Spritz at a low price in Slovakia (⌀ €4.79), Slovenia (⌀ €4.60), and Austria (⌀ €5.39). In Finland (⌀ €9.57), Luxembourg (⌀ €9.36), and the Republic of Ireland (⌀ €9.16), you might want to think twice about having an Aperol given the higher prices.
In the Slovak city of Košice, you pay exactly what you get in a bar: 490 ml of Aperol here costs only an incredible €4.90. In Lisbon, Milan, and Dublin, it can happen that an Aperol Spritz costs €12.
